I've boarded my dog (Pinta) at a few places around my area of town and have been very unhappy, until I tried Woodland. When I've gone to pick her up at previous places I've almost had tears in my eyes looking at her thinking she must have had a horrible time, and worse yet, horrible treatment. Along with her face being dirty because her eyes tend to run, they handed me my towel and shirt that I brought soiled and dirty. Woodland on the other hand- AMAZING! I live about 20 minutes from Woodland Hospital and make the drive because I know she's being taken care of so well. They play, fill out report cards, send pictures, and launder the items I bring for comfort. One of the best things about Woodland is that I had gone there to check it out before my first boarding and they gave me the entire tour, through surgery rooms, boarding rooms, play areas, etc. What a wonderful staff. They always find a way to fit Pinta in, no matter the circumstance. And best part of it all... Sunday pick-ups!! Try to find that at another boarder!! "Our little chihuahua was recently attacked by a pitbull. Though one of the scariest experiences of our lives, the Woodland Hospital for Animals staff snapped immediately into action when we rushed little Sundance in to see them. Though inches from death, the WHA staff did a marvelous job repairing his many wounds, all of which were life threatening. More so, they were a comforting presence-keeping us up to date on Sundance's condition and managing his post-operative pain. Our family is deeply thankful for the wonderful doctors and assistants that were there that day (and everyday) and especially those who were able to save Sundance's life. "We went all over town with our chocolate labrador and made numerous calls to other boarding places to compare services. I thought I would stop by Woodland to see what they can provide. I was suprised. Woodland is very clean and the dog can go out anytime they want as they have a fenced in patio. The complex is air conditioned (not frigid but comfy) and the staff is very very nice. I trust Woodland because they are my vet as well. They have very reasonably rates. In comparison and further thought, it's not worth having my dog stay at another more expensive place (let alone a separate place) if they don't offer medical services on site like Woodland does. They have ala cart services which is nice so they don't overcharge for anything but it can be costly if you want the full treatment. This is not unexpected. The cost of medical services is about spot on with other vets. Medicine and vacination is a good deal to. I compare petmeds to Woodland's prices more than once and petmeds was more when taking into consideration shipping! I couldn't believe it. This is the Grand Rapids voted best service facility in 2009 after all. I highly recommend Woodland!" - Matt K.

"I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful doctors at Woodland. These doctors have been so important to us. They saved our Golden Retriever (Abby) from having her leg amputated when we were given a cancer diagnosis from a large vet hospital a couple of years ago. They went above and beyond to determine that she did not have cancer and to this day she is doing great! They also have been there for us when we did have our wonderful Boxer pass away with cancer and I cannot begin to tell you the compassion that they have for their patients and owners.
